Motorcycle & Powersports Layaway Program at iMotorsports Chicago
Buying a powersports vehicle—whether it’s a motorcycle, ATV, UTV, Slingshot, or personal watercraft—is a big decision. Not everyone wants to take out a loan, and not everyone wants to pay in full up front. Our layaway program makes it easy to reserve the machine you want and pay for it over time, without financing or a credit check.
Below you’ll find our current layaway terms, designed to give you flexibility and peace of mind while you work toward ownership.
How Our Layaway Program Works
Deposit Requirements
To begin a layaway plan, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required. The deposit takes the vehicle off the market immediately, reserves it exclusively for you, and is applied directly toward the total purchase price. Once your layaway agreement is activated, your motorcycle, ATV, Slingshot, or Jet Ski is stored safely in our climate-controlled Elmhurst facility until it’s paid in full.
Payment Schedule
Layaway payments are made on a monthly basis. You and your sales representative will agree on a payment schedule that works for you, and each payment goes directly toward your balance until the vehicle is paid off.
Term Extensions
Need more time? Talk to your sales or finance representative about extending your layaway term. We’ll walk you through the current options before your plan is set up.
Layaway Coverage
Our layaway program applies to vehicle purchases only—parts, accessories, and service items are not included unless specifically agreed in writing. During the layaway period, your vehicle stays safely in our Elmhurst facility and is not available for test rides or use until the layaway is complete.

What Happens If Terms Are Not Met
The $1,000 layaway deposit is non-refundable. If a layaway is canceled, the deposit is retained to cover holding and administrative costs.
